I had every intention on crushing Macklemore as nothing but another Top 40, lowest common denominator, Flash in the pan, Vanilla Ice wannabee.
And then I watched the video. He’s exactly a Top 40, lowest common denominator, Flash in the pan, Vanilla Ice wannabee. But it’s damn funny, done in jest and all with out a record label. The theme is that regular prices for fur coats are for fools and thrift shop tags are “fucking awesome”. The picture above tells all…fur coats….slurpees…and some hoes in thrift shop clothes.
